Zip Instant
A free zip code lookup tool needed to actually look like a tool worth using.

Problem
Zip code finders are everywhere. Most of them look like they were built in 2009 and last touched in 2014. Zip Instant had the functionality. It needed a clean, fast, no-friction experience that made people bookmark it instead of bouncing back to Google.
Goals
Build a utility tool that loads fast and gets out of its own way
Make the interface clean enough that anyone can use it without thinking about it
Design something that looked modern without overcomplicating a simple job
Process
The whole product is the tool. No fluff, no filler, just a search bar that works and a map that shows you exactly what you need. Every design decision pointed at one thing: get the user to their answer in as few clicks as possible. City to zip, zip to city, distance between two points. Done.
Solution
A clean, fast, fully responsive zip code finder with an interactive map, clipboard copy, distance calculator, and a design that doesn't make you feel like you're filing taxes. Simple enough for anyone. Fast enough to actually use.
Results / Outcome
A utility tool that looks like it was built this decade
Search, map, copy, done. The whole flow in under five seconds
One of those rare projects where the best design decision was to add nothing extra
41,700 zip codes. Zero boring interfaces.
